An increase in malware activity and other events of June 2021

Doctor Web presents its June 2021 virus activity review. The total number of unique detected threats decreased compared to May. According to statistics, adware and unwanted programs continue to be popular threats. Malicious files and webpages were most often distributed in mail traffic. Besides that, cybercriminals also distributed malicious loader components to users in June. User requests to decrypt files affected by encoders decreased by almost 8% compared to May.
