Doctor Web— a Russian IT security developer—released Dr.Web anti-virus software of the 6.0 series for Kerio mail servers and Internet gateways.
Now Dr.Web for Kerio mail servers and Dr.Web for Kerio Internet gateways can be administered through the Control Center of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite. The anti-viruses send statistics regarding their operation and information about detected malware, as well as actions performed with malicious programs to the central server. Virus definitions and the scan engine are now updated from the repository of the Control Center.
Also, Dr.Web for Kerio enables users to control the automatic distribution of e-mail notifications— statistical information, license expiration notifications and other important data can be sent at selected addresses. In addition, information about the plugins is now accessible via the web console.
Before installing Dr.Web for Kerio mail servers and Dr.Web for Kerio Internet gateways you need to remove earlier versions of these applications.
Please, remember that under the licensing terms a key file for Dr.Web Mail Security Suite (which includes Dr.Web for Kerio mail servers) can be used to protect any of the following platforms: Kerio, UNIX, MS Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino. A key file for Dr.Web Gateway Security Suite (which includes Dr.Web for Kerio Internet-gateways) will work with Dr.Web for Kerio, UNIX, MIMEsweeper and Qbik WinGate. Versatile key files are a distinguishing feature of all Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite products.
