A decline in ransomware activity and other events of July 2020

Doctor Web presents its July 2020 overview of malware activity. In July, the number of detected threats remained steady at June levels. According to statistics, adware and malware installers remained among the most active threats. Email traffic was still dominated by a multi-module banking trojan, as well as by malware that exploit vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office programs. The number of user requests to decrypt files affected by encoders continued to decrease. Read more about these and other events in our June review.
