Trojans on Google Play, dangerous backdoors, and other mobile security events of July 2015

Doctor Web presents its July 2015 overview of malware for Android devices. During the previous month, cybercriminals continued to target users of mobile devices distributing malicious programs through different resources; for example, Google Play became again a home for new dangerous malware. Also in July, various banking and SMS Trojans were distributed on a large scale. Moreover, Doctor Web security researchers detected a number of new malicious programs, including ransomware Trojans, backdoors, and other harmful applications.
