May 29, 2015

Doctor Web presents its May 2015 virus activity review. In terms of information security, the last spring month appeared to be rather uneventful.

In May 2015, Doctor Web security researchers examined a number of adware and unwanted installer applications that target OS X prompting users to download some dubious programs to their computers. Also in May, entries for new malware targeting Linux have been added to Dr.Web virus databases. Moreover, it should be noted that virus makers specializing in creation and distribution of malicious software for Android devices were as active as ever.

Read about these and other events of May 2015 in the detailed Doctor Web virus activity review.
