Doctor Web is rolling out a major update for its remotely administered Dr.Web 12.0 and 13.0 products for business. The update introduces new security-administration features and delivers fixes for identified software defects.

New features

The much sought-after message logging standard BSD Syslog (RFC 4165) is now supported to benefit system administrators.

The “No restrictions” security level has been introduced for the Behaviour Analysis component. In this mode, the “Allow” rule is applied to all protected nodes. This may help companies avoid interruptions to their business routines even if infrastructure issues are discovered. Adjustments have also been made to the way Dr.Web detects operating system types and versions so that protected hosts are assigned to system groups automatically.

Error fixes

The update also includes a large number of fixes to ensure that Dr.Web Server operates flawlessly. To find out more about the issues addressed by the update, please refer to the Changelog section on our website.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
