It is also worth mentioning that Dr.Web 12.9.0 for Android is fully compatible with the system’s hibernation mode. Available in the latest Android versions, app hibernation is designed to optimise memory and battery usage. To accomplish this, the apps that remain unused for a long period of time are force-stopped, their files get compressed for better storage, and permission auto-revocation is applied. However, Dr.Web needs to operate continuously so that device security is maintained at all times. That's why the Dr.Web app now features a special notification to help users add it to the exceptions list and prevent it from being force-stopped.
On top of that, the new version's URL-filter is able to check Cyrillic links. Identified Parental Control and Firewall issues have been resolved.
This latest Dr.Web version wasn’t tested just by our QA team—for almost three months, Doctor Web made it available for public beta testing and received valuable feedback from users.
You can learn more about what’s new in version 12.9.0 in our website's Changelog section.
