New malware on Google Play and other events in Doctor Web’s April 2022 mobile malware activity overview

Doctor Web is pleased to present its April 2022 mobile malware activity review. Last month, Android.Spy.4498 trojan activity continued to decrease. This malware steals information from other apps’ notifications. We also noticed a decrease in adware trojan activity. At the same time, our specialists discovered new threats on Google Play. Android.Joker and Android.FakeApp trojans were among them. The former subscribe victims to paid mobile services, while the latter are used by cybercriminals in various fraud schemes.
