An increase in malware activity and other events of July 2021

Doctor Web presents its July 2021 virus activity review. The total number of unique detected threats decreased compared to June. According to statistics, adware and unwanted programs continue to be popular threats. Malicious files and backdoors were most often distributed in email traffic. User requests to decrypt files affected by encoders increased by almost 35.2% compared to June. Read more about these and other events in our July virus review.
