From January 1, 2016, Internet users—clients of Lanka Bell—will be able to sign up for the Dr.Web Anti-virus service and choose not only the appropriate subscription package according to protection requirements, but also choose the subscription period on a per day billing method.
Up to now, local ISPs offered anti-viruses provided on a subscription basis at least for one year.
"The user can try the service for a month absolutely free, and then subscribe to the Dr.Web Anti-virus service for a minimal cost and increase the costs if necessary only. Moreover, one cannot find cost effective SaaS-solution in Sri Lanka. Parental Control, Anti-spam―are some of the components that make the service attractive to our users, so taking into account other benefits of Dr.Web Anti-virus, we are expecting service to be a success", says Trushan Handy, the Head of Lanka Bell IT.
Lanka Bell will use the user-friendly Dr.Web Subscription Control Centre to work with their subscribers. The whole line of Dr.Web Anti-virus subscription packages—from basic to comprehensive protection—will be available for users and can be accessed through the Lanka Bell Corporate site www.lankabell.com.
