Components updated in Dr.Web 11.0 products for Windows

November 16, 2015

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Security Space, Anti-virus for Windows setup (11.0.1.11090) component, the Dr.Web SelfPROtect module (11.00.02.11051), the Dr.Web Net Filter for Windows driver (11.0.0.11051), Dr.Web Email-templates (11.0.1.11020), Dr.Web Control Service (11.0.1.11120), the Dr.Web Thunderstorm Cloud Client SDK component (10.0.0.201510190), Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (11.0.1.201510260) and configuration scripts (11.0.0.10090, 11.0.0.11030). The update resolves known software issues.

A Dr.Web Security Space, Anti-virus for Windows setup issue that interfered with the process of upgrading from Dr.Web Anti-virus to Dr.Web Security Space 11.0 has been resolved.

The self-protection module defects that resulted in Dr.Web ShellGuard (protection from exploits) false positives and the component's abnormal termination during interaction with other software have been corrected.

A Dr.Web Net Filter for Windows driver error that could prevent applications launched via the Metro interface from working properly has been eliminated.

Dr.Web Email-templates now incorporate error descriptions matching product component updating phases.

A control service issue involving files and folders being added onto the list of items to be protected by the Parental Control has been eliminated.

Adjustments made to the Anti-rootkit API help prevent a system critical error under Windows 10 (x86) that occurred as a result of this OS’s recent large update to build version 10586.

The update also delivers the first documentation version in French and German.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
