Components updated in Dr.Web 10.0 products for Windows

October 14, 2015

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Control Service (10.0.12.10060), Dr.Web Net filtering Service (10.0.8.10010) and the component Dr.Web Device Guard (10.00.05.09210) in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 10.0, Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralised administration (part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0), and the Internet service Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0. The Control Service and Dr.Web Device Guard have also been updated in Dr.Web 10.0 for Windows Servers. The update resolves known software issues.

The company has eliminated the problem of the net filtering service terminating abnormally during attempts to transfer a file via Mail.ru Agent. Also eliminated was a problem with the Dr.Web Net filtering service terminating abnormally when a protocol was defined incorrectly. An SSL certificate error has also been corrected.

A control service issue involving an extra system restart being required to complete an installation with a missing ID has been resolved. This issue occurred in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite and Dr.Web AV-Desk.

Also resolved was a Dr.Web Device Guard issue that caused a critical system error at Windows startup if the Driver Verifier was enabled.

The Dr.Web Anti-virus service software and the other Dr.Web applications listed above will be updated automatically, but a system reboot will be required.
