Updated beta-version of Dr.Web CureIt! against Trojan.Winlock
January 29, 2010
Doctor Web announced major updating of its Dr.Web CureIt! utility designed to scan and cure computers of viruses, even those protected by anti-viruses from other vendors. Specific features for efficient neutralization of Trojan.Winlock programs have been implemented in the new version of the utility.
A new starter included in the utility activates protection of all files and processes of Dr.Web CureIt! before scanning is started.
The starter allows launching the utility on an alternative desktop in order to avoid blocking of its operation by a Trojan.
The updated beta-version of Dr.Web CureIt! is compatible with MS Windows 2000 and later (both 32 and 64 bit versions).
