Until now, subscribers to the Dr.Web Anti-virus could only use the service software to protect Windows and Android. Now Mac OS X is also on that list since it is supported by the Dr.Web AV-Desk 6.2 server. The option to protect Macs is available to subscribers who use Dr.Web Classic and Dr.Web Premium. To protect a device running Android or Mac OS X with the service software, you need to use a configuration file that can be obtained via the Subscription Control Center, by means of XML API, or via the server's web interface.
The update also addresses minor issues previously discovered in Dr.Web AV-Desk.
Providers should consult Doctor Web specialists in order to upgrade their Internet service.
