Components in Dr.Web 9.0 products for Windows updated

November 6, 2013

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Updater module (8.0.6.10170), Dr.Web Scanning Engine (8.3.0.201310280), and Dr.Web Shell Extension (8.00.1.201309020) in iversion 8.0 of its products Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows and Dr.Web for Windows Servers. The update delivers fixes of the following defects:

  • A Dr.Web Updater issue causing improper updating via the Anti-virus Network;
  • A Dr.Web Scanning Engine defect that showed itself when the anti-spam module was being updated—this fix is relevant for Dr.Web Security Space;
  • An issue related to the displaying of the Scan with Dr.Web item in the context menu in the Finnish, Uzbek and Belarusian languages.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
