Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated its Dr.Web Anti-virus for Linux, Dr.Web Anti-virus for Unix Servers (Samba), Dr.Web Anti-virus for Novell Storage Services, and Dr.Web Anti-virus for Internet Gateways Unix to version 6.0.2.4, and Dr.Web Anti-virus for Unix Mail Servers to version 6.0.2.3. The update addresses known product issues.

It also delivers support of Samba 4 to Dr.Web for Unix Servers and corrects the following defects: nn issue in Dr.Web Anti-virus for Linux that arose when the computer was connected to a Windows domain, a product-wide defect of the Dr.Web anti-virus daemon when operating in the centralised administration mode. The updated version of Dr.Web for Internet Gateways Unix now also displays a blocked website category.

Installation and initialization issues have also been resolved. The update also provides changes in the email address and header processing routines of Dr.Web for Unix Mail Servers, optimises its operation under high load in the multi-threading mode, and fixes errors related to database interaction. Issues involving email encoding errors and exception handling have been addressed too. In addition, routines for processing incorrect codes from a receiving server during an SMTP-session have been modified, and an issue that arose when a message was to be sent to multiple addresses has been eliminated.

To update a product installed from a repository, use the appropriate procedure in your OS. If you installed Dr.Web using a universal package, download the updated distribution and reinstall the application.
