Doctor Web — the Russian anti-virus software vendor — is pleased to inform users that its Dr.Web for Android is now available from Amazon Appstore. Please, don't forget that it can also be obtained from the Android Market or bundled with Dr.Web for personal computers.

Two versions of the product are available from the Amazon Appstore— the free version and the commercial one ($ 4.99). You can find them in the "Utilities" section or you may use the search. In order to download or purchase Dr.Web for Android, install the Amazon application used to access the online store onto your smart phone. Currently only U.S. residents can use Amazon Appstore.

Dr.Web for Android securely protects mobile devices against malware written specifically for this platform while the built-in anti-spam delivers the wide range of options to filter incoming calls and SMS. Announced in mid-February 2011, the product, is gaining popularity among users on a daily basis. In mid-April the application downloads from Android market exceeded one million.
