Scanning Engine in personal and server Dr.Web products 6.0 for Windows updated

February 9, 2011

Doctor Web announced updating components of the Scanning Engine service incorporated in Dr.Web 6.0 products for Windows PCs and file servers.

The update fixes an error when certain files were scanned even though they had been added to the exceptions list. In particular, this fix improves the overall system performance. Besides, an issue when the exceptions routines could malfunction under the 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003 has been resolved.

The update also corrects an error related to moving files from shared directories to the quarantine.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses but applying the update will require a system reboot.
