Malware on Google Play and increased number of detected threats in Dr.Web’s August 2020 mobile malware activity review

Doctor Web presents its August 2020 mobile malware activity overview. During the last summer month the number of threats detected on Android devices increased by 2.21% compared to July. With that, our malware analysts have observed an activity of new threats on Google Play once again. Malicious apps designed to load fraudulent websites, as well as a dangerous trojan capable of executing arbitrary code and subscribing users to premium services, were among them.
