Doctor Web licensed by Russian Defense Ministry

Russian Defense Ministry prolonged a license concerning activates related to development of security tools for Doctor Web. Doctor Web is the only Russian anti-virus vendor that has such a license.

According to the new license granted to Doctor Web on October 8, 2008 the company may manufacture software and appliances used in information systems and stand-alone computing items and may also create information systems that process and store classified information.

Earlier this month Doctor Web also prolonged a license from FSB concerning activities involving use of tools related to state secret information. Besides, Doctor Web has another license from the Federal Security Service of Russian Federation and licenses and certificates from the Federal Service for Technology and Export Control required to supply anti-virus software to certain state establishments and military industrial facilities.
