Doctor Web presents its May 2018 virus activity review. During this month, our virus analysts examined several dangerous Trojans posing a threat to users of the popular gaming platform Steam. With the FIFA World Cup approaching, network fraudsters have intensified their activities, offering their victims opportunities to participate in lotteries for match tickets and other valuable prizes. Also in May, virus analysts examined several new modifications of spyware Trojans engaged in stealing confidential information from users.
