New encryption ransomware, a miner Trojan for Android and other events in February 2018

Doctor Web presents its February 2018 virus activity review. The last winter month is marked by the emergence of a ransomware Trojan for Windows. Also in February, Doctor Web security researchers detected a miner Trojan for the Android mobile platform. The Trojan can distribute itself on its own without user intervention.
