Lattelecom makes Dr.Web Anti-virus service available to users in three countries

May 19, 2016

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web announces the deployment of the Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet security service by the Baltics’ leading telecom operator and IT provider—Lattelecom. Now that company's business customers who use virtual resources and cloud solutions can subscribe to the Dr.Web Anti-virus service, making it possible for many companies in three countries to enjoy reliable computer network information security.

Lattelecom is a modern and reliable telecommunications and IT provider serving CIS countries and the Baltics. It offers comprehensive IT services and solutions, and implements and deploys IT infrastructures in data centers according to its customers’ individual needs. Under the partnership programme with Doctor Web, Lattelecom will provide the Dr.Web service to its users in Russia, Ukraine, and Latvia.

When choosing the Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet service as a way to offer anti-virus protection on a subscription basis, Lattelecom specialists were initially attracted by the following subscriber benefits: the service requires no license costs (instead, there’s just a monthly subscription fee), and it’s economical and compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including mobile and network protocols.

Among the service’s other advantages, Lattelecom appreciated the fact that the service can be offered in a pay-as-you-go format, without further formality; can be managed centrally; is competitively priced; and has a Web API that can be integrated with its own platforms.

“Lattelecom’s target audience for the Dr.Web Anti-virus service is business customers who use virtual resources and Lattelecom Cloud solutions and value the opportunity to manage risks, including those related to IT security and data storage. Despite the broad accessibility of free anti-virus products, they are not always able to offer business customers the features they need and high-quality service. That is why Lattelecom is offering its customers a managed service that will provide the IT infrastructure needed and a high level of technical support”, said Zigurds Cirulis, Director of International Business Development of Lattelecom.

About Lattelecom

Lattelecom (Latvia) is the largest telecommunication carrier and integrator in the Baltics. Founded in 1994, Lattelecom provides such IT services as electronic communication, telecommunication, network design and construction, and Data Centres (DC). Lattelecom offers data transfer solutions; call centre services; and software development and support; and develops, introduces, and arranges data centre IT infrastructures. Lattelecom DC services are used by over 140 major US, CIS, and EU companies.
