New Trojans for Linux, malicious programs on Google Play, and other events of January 2016

Doctor Web presents its January 2016 virus activity review. The first month of this year was marked by the emergence of various malicious programs for Linux including a new ransomware and spyware Trojans. Doctor Web specialists also detected a large number of malicious applications on the Google Play store. Moreover, yet another dangerous Trojan for Android was found in the Philips s307 firmware.
