Doctor Web presents its December 2015 overview of malware for mobile devices. The past month proved to be rather hectic in terms of mobile security events. In December, cybercriminals were distributing various banking Trojans that steal confidential data from Android devices and money from users’ bank accounts. Besides, a large number of new SMS and ransomware Trojans, and other malicious programs were detected. Doctor Web security researchers have also discovered yet another Trojan that infects iOS mobile devices.
