Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has released Dr.Web Anti-virus 10.1.0.1 for Linux and Dr.Web 10.1.0.1 for Unix Server. Both products received upgrades that have improved their performance. In addition, previously identified errors in Dr.Web Anti-virus for Linux have been fixed.

Dr.Web for Unix Server now has the same architecture as Dr.Web Anti-virus for Linux and incorporates a number of new components. The drweb-nss component, which protects NSS-volumes in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, has been updated and added to the product. To enhance anti-virus security, the product now includes the drweb-snmpd component which facilitates interactions with network monitoring solutions. Currently, Cacti, Zabbix, Munin and Nagios are supported. The drweb-spider file monitor, also a new addition, detects threats in the GNU/Linux file system. An HTTP monitor SpIDer Gate issue that prevented NFS partitions from being mounted has been resolved. Also fixed was a defect that sometimes prevented the Dr.Web Agent icon from being displayed in the system tray. The agent can be used to control the application without opening drweb-gui.

Users of Dr.Web Anti-virus for Linux must use the updated distribution to install the program.

To update a version of Dr.Web for Unix Servers that has been installed from the repository, use the package manager. If you installed Dr.Web using a universal package, download the updated distribution and reinstall the application.
