Components in Dr.Web 10.0 products for Windows updated

September 23, 2015

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Control Service (10.0.11.09150), the Dr.Web for Microsoft Outlook component (10.1.0.201508040) and the Dr.Web Net filtering service (10.0.7.09080) in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 10.0, Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralized administration (part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0), and the Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 Internet service. The Control Service has also been updated in Dr.Web 10.0 for Windows Servers. The update resolves known software issues:

  • A Dr.Web for Microsoft Outlook issue corrupting headers of opened emails;
  • A Dr.Web Net filtering service defect that prevented third-level domains from being excluded from scanning even though they were on the SpIDer Gate HTTP monitor’s whitelist; A defect that prevented the IMAP traffic of the Windows 10 mail application from being scanned properly;
  • In Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite, which supports centralised administration, and in Dr.Web AV-Desk software for Dr.Web anti-virus service subscribers, an issue involving incorrect statistics being sent about malicious objects belonging to the Suspicious group.

The Dr.Web Anti-virus service software and the other Dr.Web applications listed above will be updated automatically, but a system reboot will be required.
