Dangerous adware, new backdoor for Linux, and other virus events of July 2015

Doctor Web presents its July 2015 virus activity review. The middle of summer was marked by appearance of new malicious programs for Windows, Linux, and Android.

In July, an entry for a new Trojan that injects arbitrary content into webpages browsed by users was added to Dr.Web virus databases. Moreover, at the end of the month, Doctor Web security researchers detected a new backdoor targeting Linux and a new Trojan for Android that has already been downloaded more than 1.5 million times.
