Dr.Web Security Space 10.0.2 for Android updated

July 20, 2015

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated its Dr.Web Security Space for Android to version 10.0.2 to deliver several upgrades and address known issues in the application.

In particular, the update corrects a defect that prevented the program from detecting the device's country correctly during activation of Dr.Web trial key files. Also resolved was an issue that might result in abnormal termination of the program on certain Android handsets while one was entering a serial number.

The default settings for the URL-filter Dr.Web Cloud Checker have been readjusted: now access is only blocked to sites belonging to the non-recommended category. Although the category Known sources of infection can't be selected, with the URL-filter enabled, access to sites from this group is now restricted too.

In addition, the update delivers Greek language support.

The updated application is available at Google play (Dr.Web Security Space for Android, Dr.Web Security Space for Android. Life License) and on Doctor Web's site.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses. If automatic updates are disabled on the device, go to Google Play, choose Dr.Web Security Space or Dr.Web Security Space Life license on the application list and click "Update”.

To perform an update via Doctor Web's site, download the updated distribution. If the option “New application version” is enabled, a new version notification will be displayed whenever the virus databases have been updated. You can start the download directly from this dialogue box.
