Components updated in Dr.Web 10.0 products for Windows, Dr.Web 10.0 for MS Exchange, and Dr.Web 10.0 for IBM Lotus Domino

May 25, 2015

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web Control Service (10.0.8.04202), the Dr.Web SysInfo component (10.0.4.201504090), Dr.Web Scanning Engine (10.0.6.201505120), Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (10.0.6.201504270), Dr.Web DeviceGuard (10.00.04.04300), and the configuration scripts (10.0.1.04210) in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 10.0, Dr.Web 10.0 for Windows Servers, Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralized administration (part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0), Dr.Web 10.0 for MS Exchange, and Dr.Web 10.0 for IBM Lotus Domino. Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite has also had its Dr.Web Enterprise Agent for Windows setup component (10.0.8.04280) updated.

The update resolves a scanning service issue involving errors occurring while Windows was shutting down and optimises routines for processing archives found in network folders. Detection routines have been enhanced for Dr.Web Scanning Engine as well as for the anti-rootkit module.

Furthermore, Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite has also had its Dr.Web Enterprise Agent for Windows setup component updated: the application can no longer be installed on PCs running 64-bit version of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 without SP2. In addition, the amount of free disk space required for the program's installation has been changed, and the defect that occurred when switching between the standalone and ES mode has been corrected.

The volume of information collected by the Dr.Web SysInfo module in Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web Anti-virus, Dr.Web for Windows Servers, and Dr.Web Security Suite has been increased.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
