Components in Dr.Web 10.0 products for Windows updated

Doctor Web has updated SpIDer Agent for Windows (10.0.8.201504220), Dr.Web Control Service (10.0.8.04201), Dr.Web SelfPROtect (10.00.08.04230), Dr.Web Net filtering Service (10.0.6.04230), the component Dr.Web Security Space, Anti-virus for Windows setup (10.0.4.04210) and Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows servers setup (10.0.2.04210) in Dr.Web 10.0 products for Windows.

The update resolves the following Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus issues:

The abnormal termination of SpIDer Agent for Windows when restoring a large file from the quarantine;

The abnormal termination of the Dr.Web Control Service when backing up files;

A conflict between Dr.Web SelfPROtect and a Russian security appliance;

A Dr.Web Net Filtering Service issue that prevented Dr.Web from blocking user accounts when the Parental Control option to restrict access to the Internet was enabled.

Dr.Web Security Space Anti-virus for Windows setup will no longer install Dr.Web on machines running Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit without SP2.

The following defects in Dr.Web for Windows Servers have been eliminated:

The abnormal termination of SpIDer Agent for Windows when restoring a large file from the Quarantine;

The abnormal termination of the Dr.Web Control Service when backing up files;

A conflict between Dr.Web SelfPROtect and a Russian security appliance.

Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows Servers setup will no longer install Dr.Web on machines running Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit without SP2.

The following issues in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralised administration have been resolved:

SpIDer Agent for Windows

  • Possible abnormal termination when restoring a large file from the quarantine;
  • An issue involving web addresses being displayed in headerless messages sent by the Control Center administrator;

Dr.Web Control Service

  • Abnormal termination when backing up files;
  • Issues causing the module's abnormal termination during file backup and if an .lnk file was was being used to launch an executable via the task scheduler;
  • An issue involving error reports from the file monitor SpIDer Guard and infection statistics reports from the HTTP monitor SpIDer Gate;
  • An issue that prevented the component updating procedure from starting properly in mobile mode;
  • An issue involving incorrect data being transmitted by the ES scanner when examining files with Cyrillic file names;
  • An issue involving the list of Control Center addresses not being saved properly, resulting in the loss of the connection to the server;
  • An issue involving permissions for the SpIDer Guard file monitor for PCs affecting the operation of the SpIDer Guard component for servers;
  • A job synchronisation issue involving a job being started before the previous job was finished;

A conflict between Dr.Web SelfPROtect and a Russian security appliance;

A Dr.Web Net Filtering Service issue preventing Dr.Web from blocking user accounts when the Office Control option to restrict access to the Internet was enabled.

The products now also include help in the Kazakh language: The user guide for Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web Anti-virus and Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite supporting centralised administration, and the administrator manual for Dr.Web for Windows Servers.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
