Subscription Control Center in Dr.Web AV-Desk 10.0 updated

June 1, 2015

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Subscription Control Center (SCC) for its Internet service Dr.Web AV-Desk. The updated SCC incorporates a variety of subscription management upgrades for Dr.Web anti-virus service users and administrators and also introduces a number of new features.

Now subscribers can receive SMS notifications about various events associated with using the services, provided that this feature is used by the respective service provider.

Now the SCC also enables administrators to generate a single distribution file for several PCs using the same subscription package, making it significantly simpler to deploy Dr.Web software.

An administrator can now also specify the welcome message that is to be displayed on the subscriber authorisation page.

The options regarding promotional subscription packages are now consistent with the relevant promotional policy. The supported operating systems include Linux. The Subscription Control Center also boasts improved usability thanks to all the changes that have affected the application interface.

OpenId authorisation is no longer supported due to the corresponding service being discontinued. Now individual distributions are used to install Dr.Web for Android and Dr.Web for Mac OS X.

Earlier SCC iterations, starting with version 6.2.x, can be upgraded to version 10.0. Providers should contact Doctor Web’s specialists to carry out the Subscription Control Center upgrade.
