Routines for neutralising new Trojans designed to disable installed Dr.Web anti-virus have been added for both products. A new routine for detecting threats has been added for the anti-virus engine. The update provides changes into routines of the window displaying information about the detected threats. Changes have been made to GUI to display the application on devices running Android 5.0. In addition, the notifications of anti-virus for Android 5.0 are displayed on top of other windows. The routine to send suspicious files for analysis to the Dr.Web anti-virus lab has also been optimised.
The update also provides Hindi language support for both products and fixes of known defects.
The following changes have been done to components included into Dr.Web for Android, Comprehensive protection. Now, Security Auditor reports on detection of PendingIntent and ObjectInputStream Serialization vulnerabilities. Anti-spam, Anti-theft, Firewall and URL-filter Cloud Checker parameters have been added for Reset settings option. In turn, now URL-filter supports Yandex.Browser Beta. The Firewall update delivers routines to display host names in the log and current traffic. Also, visual highlighting of information on applications with set rules has been added. In addition, the update enables users to delete rules for this component.
The update will be downloaded and installed automatically. If automatic updates are disabled on the device, go to Google Play, choose Dr.Web Anti-virus, Dr.Web Anti-Virus Life license or Dr.Web Anti-virus Light on the application list, and click "Update”.
To update via the Doctor Web site, you need to download a new distribution file. If the option “New application version” is enabled, a new version notification will be displayed when the virus databases are being updated. You can start the download directly from this dialogue box.
