Dr.Web for Symbian OS – new product for mobile users

The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web announced the release of a newser solutions for protection of mobile devices running the Symbian OS.. Dr.Web for Symbian OS protects Nokia phones from viruses and spam.

Beta-testing of Dr.Web for Symbain OS drew in a large number of participants and shoed thatthe demand for the new product is extremely high. Eventually the released solution is made to meet most demands of prospective customers.

Based on the Dr.Web anti-virus scanner, the new product can perform a full anti-virus scan of a file system or check selected files and folders (including files and directories on removable memory cards). The scanner supports SIS, CAB, ZIP и RAR data compression formats. Detected malicious objects are deleted or moved to the quarantine. The anti-virus also performs filtering of phone calls and short messages using black and white lists.

Dr.Web anti-virus for Symbian OS has a user-friendly interface that allows a user to configure and monitor operation of the program in real time with no effort. The context help accessible from any window of the application provides all information required to use all features of the program.

Dr.Web anti-virus for Symbian OS is compatible with S60 (3rd & 5th edition) and therefore can be used on most Nokia-made devices.
