Doctor Web draws attention of users to the web-site offering a search for information on any person in public and private databases.
Before a user pays for the supposed service, he is offered to inter information he already has about the person he wants to learn about. After that a quick search is performed. In order to view search results the user has to send a paid SMS.
Fraudulent web-sites promoting online anti-viruses, virtual detectives and other fake services have one common property: supposed scanning of a computer or search never last longer than a few seconds. However, it is a known fact that a decent system scan or search over social networking web-sites may take several hours.
Besides, such fake resources display the same result regardless of provided information.
The only true information provided to a user is the SMS fee that amounts to USD 10.
