Dr.Web 5.0 certified by FSB

January 19, 2010

The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web announced that it received certificates for Dr.Web solutions 5.0 for Windows from the Federal Security Service (FSB) and Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of Russian Federation.

Certificates from the Federal Security Service of Russia were issued following tests performed by the Certification research centre. The documents confirm that Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web anti-virus 5.0 for Windows and Dr.Web Enterprise Suite 5.0 comply with FSB requirements to anti-virus solutions and can be used to protect stat-secret information.

The certificate from FSTEC was issued after tests by the research, development and production company Echelon and evaluation by the Security of information technologies and components company. It certifies that Dr.Web products of the fifth series – Dr.Web for Windows, Dr.Web for Windows file servers, Dr.Web Enterprise Suite – meet requirements of the regulation document regarding software for protection of information.

These certificates allow using Dr.Web solutions for Windows of the fifth series by all governmental institutions of Russia and by state-run companies.
