The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web announced the release of the updated version of Dr.Web for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003.

This application integrates with a corporate mail system and scans all processed messages and attachments protecting it from viruses and spam.

The updated version of Dr.Web for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003 provides users with improved functionality of the quarantine. Now quarantined objects can be rescanned using latest virus definitions to neutralize malicious programs virus databases have been updated.

The update also provides fixes of several known errors:

• Issues related to installation and operation of the solution have been fixed;
• Errors that caused termination of the anti-virus and Exchange services have been fixed;
• Errors that caused termination of the anti-virus’s user interface have been corrected;
• Interaction of the application with the Active Directory Service has been improved;
• Errors that arose during interaction of the application with IIS have been fixed;
• Session configuration conducted when a notification is sent using MAPI has been corrected;
• An error of Dr.WebEngine that caused spam check errors has been fixed;
• The quarantine database is no longer removed if the anti-virus is uninstalled; When an existing quarantine database file is found by the program during installation, a user will be offered to use the existing database or delete it.

Numerous error fixes and code optimization significantly improved the solution's stability and performance.
