Components in Dr.Web 9.1 products for Windows and Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0 updated

August 7, 2014

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Net Filtering Service (9.1.1.07281), Dr.Web Control Service (9.1.2.08040), SpIDer Agent component (9.1.2.201408041), Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (9.1.2.201407290) and the SpIDer Guard file monitor (09.01.01.07240) in its Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-Virus version 9.1, as well as in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite (supporting centralised administration) which is part of Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 10.0. Dr.Web Enterprise Agent for Windows setup (10.0.1.08060) has also been updated in Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite.

The company has resolved a Dr.Web Net Filtering Service issue involving the downloading of Windows updates in local networks where Squid 3.3.8 is up and running.

Also fixed was a control service issue involving the initialisation of a background anti-rootkit scan when the file monitor was unavailable.

The anti-rootkit API update has improved the performance of Dr.Web Process Heuristic.

A Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite issue involving the installer freezing when the Dr.Web Agent 6.0 component was updated has also been resolved.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
