Components in Dr.Web 9.0 products for Windows updated

January 27, 2014

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web SpIDer Agent (9.0.5.201401170), Dr.Web SelfPROtect (9.00.08.01160), Dr.Web Net Filtering Service (9.0.7.01222) and the installation module (9.0.3.01140) in the products Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus 9.0. The update delivers a number of fixes.

Additional controls for browsing through the list of parental control accounts have been implemented for SpIDer Agent. An issue has been resolved that made it impossible to add two devices with identical names onto the parental control white list.

A self-protection module defect that could lead to a system crash when shutting down or rebooting under Windows XP was eliminated.

A traffic-filtering service problem, causing the component to terminate abnormally under Windows XP when an FTP connection was established through Windows Firewall, was corrected. Also eliminated were defects that interfered with the checking of links via Dr.Web Cloud.

An issue causing the installation module to terminate abnormally when interacting with the CryptoPro CSP 3.9 driver and when the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service was disabled has been resolved. In addition, the list of available installation interface languages has been extended to include Traditional Chinese.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
