Components in Dr.Web 8.0 products for Windows updated

August 22, 2013

Doctor Web has updated SpIDer Agent (8.1.0.201308140) and Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API (8.6.0.201308190) in the products Dr.Web Security Space, Dr.Web Anti-virus 8.0 for Windows, and Dr.Web 8.0 for Windows file servers. Also updated were Dr.Web Net Filter for Windows (8.0.0.08150) in the products Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus for Windows, and the Anti-virus for Windows (8.2 .2.08210) installer module in Dr.Web Security Space. The updates address known component issues.

A SpIDer Agent installer defect causing the license registration wizard to display the license agreement text in English regardless of system locale has been corrected. The Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API’s routines for analysing and modifying the file hosts have been upgraded. Dr.Web Net Filter for Windows has had an issue involving interaction with Hyper-V eliminated. An installer version check error that only occurred under Windows XP has also been fixed.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required.
