Dr.Web 7.0 for Android Light updated

July 25, 2013

Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web 7.0 for Android Light to deliver new cyber threat neutralisation features, UI tweaks and error fixes. The amended license agreement now contains a provision regarding statistics about detected threats and visited sites being sent to Doctor Web's server. In this regard, after the update, users must accept the agreement again.

Dr.Web 7.0 for Android Light detects applications that exploit the Android vulnerabilities 8219321 (master keys) and 9695860 (extra field).

Also, users can disable adware and riskware detection during scanning and while SpIDer Guard is running. The file monitor can now restore its operation if its process has been ended by the system or by any other means without the user's express consent.

A link to buy the fully functional version of Dr.Web for Android is now available in the application's main window.

Known defects in Dr.Web for Android Light, including a scanning issue that could arise upon touching the screen of a device running Android 4.0, have been corrected.

Dr.Web for Android Light will be updated automatically. If automatic updates are disabled on the device, go to Google Play, choose Dr.Web Anti-virus Light on the application list, and click "Update."

In order to perform the update via the Doctor Web site, you must download a new distribution file.
