Three in one: protect Windows, Mac OS X and Linux with Dr.Web Security Space

June 17, 2013

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has expanded its comprehensive anti-virus solution Dr.Web Security Space for home customers. In addition to protecting Windows, Dr.Web Security Space now incorporates the anti-virus for Mac OS X and Linux.

Doctor Web is constantly perfecting its detection and curing technologies and its licensing system in order to offer its global customer base the best anti-virus protection. Another piece of good news for all Dr.Web users is that now Dr.Web Security Space includes anti-virus protection for Mac OS X and Linux.

The product providing basic protection from malware—Dr.Web Anti-virus—has supported three operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux) since 2010. In 2011, Doctor Web released a special product for its authorized service centers—Dr.Web Universal—which included a license for Dr.Web Security Space and Anti-virus for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, as well as protection for mobile platforms.

Now new features have been added to Dr.Web Security Space, so that users can have all-round protection for Windows desktops and laptops, Linux machines, and Macs and Macbooks. As always, protection for mobile devices remains free under the Dr.Web Security Space license.
