Dr.Web for Windows (beta) supports Windows 7

June 8, 2009

The Russian anti-virus vendor Doctor Web launches beta-testing of Dr.Web Security Space compatible with Windows 7 RC. This single-user anti-virus product provides a comprehensive solution to the problem of viruses and spam.

In the face of the upcoming release of Windows 7 that recently hit the RC milestone Doctor Web releases a beta-version of its Dr.Web Security Space compatible with the new OS from Microsoft.

Dr.Web Security Space incorporates all components required to provide reliable multi-level anti-virus security. This application detects and neutralizes rootkits and quickly scans files compressed with various archivers and packers. The improved heuristic analyzer and using Origins Tracing technology enable it to detect unknown threats.

Besides Dr.Web Security Space also scans HTTP-traffic and blocks access to infected web-pages and fraudulent web-sites. The parental control will help shield your children from contacts with cyber-criminals and will block access to unwanted web-resources.

Doctor Web welcomes all users willing to participate in the public beta-testing of Dr.Web Security Space for Windows 7 RC. You need to register to take part in the testing.
