Installer in Dr.Web 8.0 for Windows updated

February 21, 2013

Russian anti-virus company Doctor Web has updated the installer module in the eighth version of its Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web for Windows to deliver bug fixes and enhancements.

The update has fixed a problem that occurred when deleting product registry keys during product uninstallation. Also fixed was an issue involving the CAPTCHA not being displayed properly in the dialogue box when uninstall procedures were being confirmed. The issue involving incorrect information being placed into the Dr.Web configuration file during its installation has been resolved.

A feature enabling users to restore the integrity of Dr.Web has been introduced. To use it, find Dr.Web on the list in the Add and Remove Programs section of the Control Panel, and choose Repair.

The installer now supports the Polish, Latvian, Traditional Chinese, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Estonian languages.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
