Dr.Web Anti-rootkit Service in single-user Dr.Web 8.0 products for Windows updated

December 11, 2012

Doctor Web has updated the Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API used by the Dr.Web Anti-rootkit Service to neutralize sophisticated threats. The service is incorporated in Dr.Web 8.0 products for Windows.

The upgraded version of Dr.Web Anti-rootkit API incorporates routines for optimized scanning for rootkits, which significantly accelerates system scanning.

In addition, the update resolves an issue that prevented the anti-virus from ending infected processes.

The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
