Dr.Web home products 8.0 for Windows updated

November 22, 2012

Doctor Web updated installation packages and scripts for Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web anti-virus 8.0 for Windows.

Installation packages were updated to introduce the repository removal feature for Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web 7.0 for Windows during installation of the eighth version of the products. In addition, an issue that caused an error when the firewall in version 7.0 couldn't be removed has been resolved.

The error when the home products of version 8.0 for Windows couldn't be uninstalled has been fixed.

Also were updated installation scripts and the Dr.Web Control Service restart script. Now to update the service, a system reboot is required while previously the component had to be restarted.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses, but applying it will require a system reboot.
