Dr.Web for Android Light updated

July 26, 2012

Doctor Web has updated Dr.Web for Android Light, designed to protect mobile devices against malware. The program is now available in two versions: one for Android 2.0 and above and one for earlier versions.

The update improves the application's stability, adds support for the Turkish language, the file format ipa (iOS), and a new feature that allows users to submit suspicious files to Doctor Web's laboratory for analysis. It also fixes a large number of minor errors.

Dr.Web for Android Light will be updated automatically. If automatic updates are disabled on the device, one must go to Google Play, choose Dr.Web Anti-virus Light on the application list, and click "Update."

In order to carry out the update via the Doctor Web site, a new distribution file must be downloaded.
