Single-user Dr.Web 6.0 products for Windows updated

June 18, 2012

Doctor Web has released an update that resolves known operational issues involving the Scanning Engine service and the Dr.Web SelfPROtect component, both of which are included in single-user Dr.Web 6.0 products for Windows.

In particular, the problem that sometimes prevented the self-protection module from launching during the boot process has been resolved. The Scanning Engine error that occasionally occurred in Windows versions for East Asian countries has also been fixed.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses, but applying the update will require a system reboot.
