Three providers, Electron-M (Chernogorsk, Republic of Khakassia, Russia), Olymp-Service (Novokuznetsk, Russia), and the Ukrainian provider Aida, have deployed the Internet service based on their own server capacities.
Home users who are customers of the above companies are being offered four subscription packages. Dr.Web Classic provides subscribers with basic protection against viruses, while Dr.Web standard also features an anti-spam function, and Dr.Web Premium, among other things, is enhanced with an HTTP monitor and a Parental control module. In its turn, Dr.Web Premium Server is designed for comprehensive protection of Windows server platforms. Corporate customers can protect server operating systems at any of the three standard rates: Dr.Web Classic, Dr.Web Standard, and Dr.Web Premium.
Users can choose the level of protection that best suits their needs. The convenient service payment plan — on a subscription basis — allows full control over spending on antivirus protection. Virus databases are updated automatically — without unnecessary load on system resources and are consequently invisible to the user.
"When choosing an Internet service that includes anti-virus protection, we came to the conclusion that no other solution in Russia can compete with Dr.Web AV-Desk. It is easy to use, both at the provider and end-user levels; we believe this to be the main advantage of the Internet service. It’s also worth noting the high reliability of the protection which is available in a very customer-friendly format, just one of its many plusses", said Pavel Gerasin, General Director of Olimp-Service. "Dr.Web AV-Desk was deployed seamlessly in our company, and we are completely satisfied with our test results."
"The Dr.Web Internet service is very easy to use: its server component is tightly integrated with the provider's hardware and software, and provides detailed and clear statistics, while the subscription package line allows a variety of customer categories to be covered", noted Eduard Danchuk, General Director of Electron-M. At the same time, users can flexibly manage their subscriptions and control their anti-virus spending."
"Dr.Web AV-Desk was deployed in our company very quickly and flawlessly, for which we express our special thanks to Doctor Web’s technical support team. I would also like to highlight a positive feature of the Internet service — it is so well thought out that even during the testing stage, it performed its duties and protected our subscribers perfectly, and did not require any significant intervention on our part", shared Andrey Reznikov, General Director of Aida. "By implementing this service, we have offered our customers high-quality anti-virus protection at a very fair price. And promotional rates developed by Doctor Web will help promote the service in the future!"
About the Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet Service
Doctor Web was the first anti-virus vendor to offer an anti-virus as a service on the Russian market.
The deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk lets a service provider’s subscribers use the Dr.Web Anti-virus as a service: they can choose how long they want to subscribe, renew their subscriptions automatically, and that means, they can decide for themselves how much they want to spend on anti-virus security. Providing an anti-virus as a service ensures its instant delivery and easy subscription management for home users and business customers. The Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet service was created by Doctor Web in 2007. Today, the number of service providers delivering the Dr.Web AV-Desk service in different regions of Russia and in the Ukraine, France, Spain, Netherlands, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and Estonia exceeds 350. Following results shown by the service in 2007, Dr.Web AV-Desk was named “best product offered as a service” by PC Magazine Russia. In September 2008, Dr.Web AV-Desk was awarded the Grand Gold Medal for “most original scientific and technical solution in communications technology” at the ITE Siberian Fair.
