Components in single-user Dr.Web 6.0 products for Windows updated

November 24, 2011

Doctor Web updated several software components included into Dr.Web single-user products from the series 6 for Windows. The update incorporates upgrades and error fixes for the Dr.Web agent, scanner, Dr.Web SpIDer Guard G3, Scanning Engine service and Dr.Web SelfPROtect module.

Cutting-edge routines for neutralization of latest threats and the updated curing routines against active infections improve scanner efficiency.

Dr.Web SpIDer Guard 3G and the Scanning Engine service are now compatible with new versions of other Dr.Web components.

Operation of the self-protection module while curing active infections has also been improved.

The Dr.Web agent pop-up notification informing a user that the system hasn't been scanned for a long time has been removed.

The update is released for Dr.Web Anti-virus and Dr.Web Security Space, as well as for Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite and Dr.Web Server Security Suite with no centralized control tool.

The update will be automatically downloaded by the anti-viruses, but applying it will require a system reboot.
